This is actually quite easy to do. I am considering teaching a small private class on how to make a topsy turvy cake. I will post on my site the date/time of the class once I have it scheduled. It will be in Oceanside, but very worth the drive ;)

ps - for this cake, I would use pre-colored red and black fondant. It takes so much color to get white fondant red or black that it tastes really yuck and it VERY sticky once you get it the correct color.

Thanks for the info about the fondant I'll be sure to buy it if i make it for any occation. My friend that's going to get married decided she wants pillars in her cake so that kind of makes me not wanna do it is not as fun and it doesn't look as elegant as the tiers being together.

Lately I've been feeling like I don't know were to start with the cake business... should i learn more about fillings and convinations of cake mixes?????? I want to have my own cake business. I know I'm just starting but I don't know were to start from....what do u recomment? for me to learn and experment more or.....?

Does anyone make a pre-made, pre-colored fondant that doesn’t taste yuck  (Particularly red and black)?  Or, what about a pre-colored Buttercream (Again, Particularly red and black)?
